A portrait of too many photos || Tutorial [EN-ES]

Hello to all photography lovers, how many times have we had to take many photos to get the one we are looking for? Well, yesterday that happened to me and I want to give you my experience with it. As every month our Cuban Photography Club holds a Safari where many photographers and models get together to socialize and create. In the one we did yesterday my first model was Mark, who besides being a model is also a theater actor and you can follow his work on his Instagram although I introduce you to him in the following image.

Hola a todos los amantes de la fotografía. ¿Cuántas veces no nos ha tocado hacer muchas fotos para lograr la que esperamos? Pues ayer me paso eso y quiero brindarles mi experiencia en ello. Como cada mes nuestro club de fotografía cubana realizamos un Safari donde muchos fotógrafos y modelos nos reunimos para socializar y crear. En el que realizamos ayer mi primer modelo fue Mark, quien ademas de modelo es actor teatral y pueden seguir su trabajo en su Instagram aunque ya se los presento en la siguiente imagen.

It occurred to me to take advantage of the fallen leaves to add some movement to the portraits but this is usually a difficult thing to control and this time it was no different. Between my girlfriend @aylenmp and photographer @janetedita they helped me by throwing the leaves towards Mark but as you see in the next picture it doesn't always come out the way we want and we have to try several times. Although this image I show you works very well as surrealism but it was not the intention.

Se me ocurrió aprovechar las hojas caídas para añadir algo de movimiento a los retratos pero esto suele ser algo difícil de controlar y en esta ocasión no fue distinto. Entre mi novia @aylenmp y la fotógrafa @janetedita me ayudaron lanzando las hojas hacia Mark pero como ven en la siguiente foto no siempre sale como queremos y debemos intentarlo varias veces. Aunque esta imagen que les muestro funciona muy bien como surrealismo pero no era la intención.

After many attempts I had not achieved the result I wanted but I noticed a couple of photos that might help me to create that result. After developing both in Capture One I set out to create a double exposure in Photoshop. I started with the first image where the leaves in a sublime way hide one of Mark's eyes, I worked a little on the skin and the eye to give it more prominence. Then I added the second image and using a layer mask I only used the leaves that in my opinion completed the composition.

Tras muchos intentos no había logrado el resultado que deseaba pero note un par de fotos que quizás me podrían ayudar a crear ese resultado. Tras haber revelado ambas en Capture One me dispuse a crear una doble exposición en Photoshop. Comencé con la primera imagen donde las hojas de una manera sublime ocultan uno de los ojos de Mark, trabaje un poco la piel y el ojo para darle mas protagonismo. Luego añadí la segunda imagen y mediante una mascara de capa solo utilicé de ella las hojas que a mi ver completaban la composición.

Here you can see the final result and it was what I was hoping for. I couldn't do it from the first moment but knowing about editing allowed me to do it and I hope you liked it. Let me know if you have had similar experiences with your work and follow me for more work like this.
