Antonio, my first model || My beginnings [EN-ES]

More than 3 years ago, when I was starting to take my first photos, I met Antonio while I was studying at my university where he was also studying. We started a photography project that I had in mind until the creation of a magazine with other people, but for reasons of life never came to nothing. But the photos of that time remain and this time I bring you some that we took in the streets of Old Havana.

At that time I didn't know much about contrasts, composition and handling the camera, but I didn't lack desire. I was like a kid with a new toy and I didn't even know about SafariHabana. I started looking for a place with bright colors and so we went to an area where there are houses with large walls painted in a single color. It was Antonio's idea, since he knew about modeling and had worked with photographers before, so we took some pictures on this yellow wall, which were the ones I liked the most.

Hace más de 3 años ya, cuando comenzaba a hacer mis primeras fotos, conocí a Antonio mientras estudiaba en mi Universidad donde él también cursaba. Comenzamos un proyecto de fotografía que tenía en mente hasta la creación de una revista junto a otras personas, pero por cuestiones de la vida nunca llego a nada. Pero quedan las fotos de aquel tiempo y en esta ocasión les traigo unas que hicimos en las calles de la Habana Vieja.

En aquel tiempo no conocía mucho de contrastes, composición y manejo de la cámara, pero ganas no me faltaban. Era como un niño con un juguete nuevo y aun ni conocía sobre SafariHabana. Comencé buscando algún lugar con colores vivos y por ello nos fuimos a una zona donde hay casas con amplias paredes pintadas de un único color. Todo idea de Antonio que al conocer sobre modelaje ya había trabajado antes con fotógrafos, por ello hicimos algunas fotos en esta pared amarilla que fueron las que mas me gustaron.

A few meters away from where we were, a group of people dressed in bright colors and on stilts was passing by, Antonio went there and I took the opportunity to take pictures of people moving to see what I could get. Notice something I used to do when I was editing before, I used to change the color tone of the sky towards greens and right now it hurts to see it 😂. A pocos metros de donde estábamos estaba pasando una comparsa con personas vestidas de colores bien vivos y subidos en zancos, Antonio se fue hacia allá y yo aproveché para hacer fotos de personas moviéndose a ver que lograba. Noten algo que yo hacía cuando editaba antes, solía cambiar el tono de color del cielo hacia los verdes y ahora mismo me duele verlo 😂.
