Getting back home

Yesterday was a rather special day. I had the opportunity to photograph the inside of a scientific facility where experiments are conducted in search of cures for oncological diseases. It was like being inside a surgery room, a whole new experience watching scientists in action. But I will tell you more about it when I edit and upload the images, this may take some time due to the exclusivity of the magazine I work for and the fact that it is published every two months. Another good news is that I had transportation, something rare nowadays because the situation in Cuba in this matter is quite depressing, so it was a relief. It is from there that the photo I am showing you arises, I took it while I was returning from that facility. It looks like just another photo taken by a tourist passing through Cuba, but notice how well the logo of the Cuban Hive community is on my backpack.

Ayer fue un día un tanto especial. Tuve la oportunidad de fotografiar el interior de una instalación científica donde se realizan experimentos en búsqueda de curas para enfermedades oncológicas. Fue como cuando estuve dentro de un salón de cirugía, toda una experiencia nueva viendo a los científicos en acción. Pero les contare más a fondo cuando edite y pueda subir las imágenes, esto puede demorar un poco por la exclusividad que tiene la Revista para la que trabajo y el hecho de que se publique cada dos meses. Otra buena noticia es que tuve transporte, cosa rara hoy en día pues la situación en Cuba en este tema es bastante deprimente, así que fue un alivio. Es de ahí que surge la foto que les muestro, la hice mientras regresaba de dicha instalación. Tal parece una foto más hecha por un turista que esta de paso en Cuba, pero fíjense en lo bien que queda el logo de la comunidad cubana de Hive en mi mochila.
