Long Exposure Photography || Tutorial [EN-ES]
Hello everyone, I bring you my most recent photos and this time exploring a type of photography that I don't usually do: long exposure.
Let me start by telling you a little bit about how to do long exposure photography or rather how to get the pictures. Here we must have a tripod to help us, or at least have the possibility to support the camera on something, that is something primordial. The objective will be to capture the movement of something, whether clouds, people or in my case the sea. To do this we must focus on a still object and adjust the speed to half a second, depending on the result you are having you can increase or decrease this speed, which is why you should choose a time where there is little light as in the evening or use neutral density filters that help the camera to slow down the speed in places with lots of light. If you have a shutter release so you don't touch the camera when shooting it is much better, because everything can be out of focus. I used the Canon app that connects to the camera so I can shoot from my phone, and I can even adjust the settings without touching the camera.
As you can see I adjusted the focus to a rock on the coast and as I said I used the phone to shoot. I took the shot at the moments when the wave was forming which is when there was more movement around the rock and when you could see more of it.
Hola a todos, les traigo mis mas recientes fotos y esta vez explorando un tipo de fotografía que no suelo hacer: larga exposición.
Déjenme comenzar a hablándoles un poco sobre como hacer fotografía de larga o más bien como logre las fotos. Aquí debemos tener un trípode que nos ayude, o al menos tener la posibilidad de apoyar la cámara en algo, eso es algo primordial. EL objetivo será captar el movimiento de algo, ya sea nubes, personas o en mi caso el mar. Para ello debemos centrar el enfoque en algún objeto inmóvil y ajustar la velocidad a medio segundo, en dependencia del resultado que vayas teniendo puedes aumentar o disminuir esta velocidad, es por esto que debes escoger un horario donde haya poca iluminación como en el atardecer o usar filtros de densidad neutra que ayuden a la cámara a bajar la velocidad en lugares con mucha iluminación. Si posees un disparador para que no toques la cámara al momento del disparo es mucho mejor, porque puede quedarte todo desenfocado. Yo utilicé la aplicación de Canon que se conecta a la cámara y así puedo disparar desde el móvil, incluso puedo ajustar los parámetros sin tocar la cámara.
Como pueden ver ajuste el enfoque a una roca de la costa y como dije use el teléfono para disparar. realizaba el disparo en los momentos que la ola se iba formando que es donde mas movimiento había al alrededor de la roca y cuando más esta se podía ver.
In this one I tried to center the rock and close the frame more with the zoom lens. You might even notice how the wave is almost on top of the rock.
En esta traté de centrar la roca y cerrar más el encuadre con el zoom del lente. Incluso quizás puedan notar como la ola esta casi encima de la roca.
In this one the parameters failed, because the sun came out, which was obscured by the clouds and filled the image with light. But it was in a pretty nice high key, I don't know, what do you think?
En esta los parámetros de fallaron, pues salió el sol que estaba tapado por las nubes y me lleno de luz la imagen. Pero quedo en una clave alta bastante bonita. ¿No sé, que ustedes piensen?
In the remaining ones I focused on the areas closer to the coast, where there were more rocks to look for a different shot. You can notice how the darkness increases as the sun goes down, I could have focused on the sunset but I wanted to take advantage of the fact that I had the tripod with me and use it for the first time as I had not had the chance.
En las restantes me enfoque en las zonas mas cercanas a la costa, donde mas rocas había para buscar un plano diferente. Pueden notar como va aumentando la oscuridad a medida que va cayendo el sol, pude haberme centrado en el atardecer pero quice aprovechar que llevaba conmigo el trípode y estrenarlo que no había tenido la oportunidad.
