My entry to the #monomad challenge
Hello black and white lovers. Today I want to show you some pictures I took from the rooftop of my girlfriend's house of some pigeons that usually fly in this area. Initially I made them thinking of participating in a contest that had birds as a theme but I did not have time to participate because of the little time I have had lately. My camera is a Canon RP, quite new so it has an autofocus system with face tracking that helped me a lot even though I was not focusing on human faces. There were very few images where these birds were blurred and I must say that I was using a Canon 75-300mm lens without stabilization, so the glory is even greater. I used Capture One for the development in #BW and since the lighting and color were the same in almost every image, I applied the same parameters to each image and avoided some editing time, something I really like about this program. Would you like a video showing you the program as well as my workflow?
There were several photos that I liked but none one like the first one because of its simple, balanced and quite minimalist composition. But I didn't want to leave without using the other images, some of them I show you below.
Hola amantes del blanco y negro. Hoy quiero mostrarles unas fotos que hice desde la azotea de casa de mi novia a unas palomas que suelen volar en esta zona. Inicialmente las hice pensando en participar en un concurso que tenía las aves como tema pero no me dio tiempo a participar por el poco tiempo que he tenido últimamente. Mi cámara es una Canon RP, bastante nueva por lo que posee un sistema de enfoque automático con seguimiento de cara que me ayudo mucho a pesar de no estar enfocando caras humanas. Fueron muy pocas las imágenes donde estas aves quedaron movidas y debo decir que estaba usando un lente 75-300mm de Canon sin estabilización, por lo que la gloria es aún mayor. Utilice el Capture One para el revelado en #BW y como la iluminación y color eran la misma en casi cada imagen, aplique los mismos parámetros a cada imagen y me evite un tiempo de edición, algo que me gusta mucho de este programa. ¿Les gustaría un video mostrándoles el programa a la vez que mi flujo de trabajo?
Varias fueron las fotos que me gustaron pero ninguna como la primera por su composición sencilla, equilibrada y bastante minimalista. Pero no quise dejar sin usar las demás imágenes, algunas se las muestro a continuación.
That's why I decided to create a double exposure using Photoshop and taking as a base the first image I showed you. So my intention was not only to use the leftover images but also to keep each of the things I liked in the first image despite adding other elements. That's why when adding them I gave them some movement to keep the focus on the central dove that belongs to the base image and place the new doves in a way that doesn't break so much what the previous composition transmitted. But I will let you be the judges of the result and I hope you can give me your opinion in the comments.
Por ello me decidí a crear una doble exposición mediante Photoshop y tomando como base la primera imagen que les mostré. Por tanto mi intención fue no solo usar las imágenes sobrantes sino también mantener cada una de las cosas que me gustaron de la primera imagen a pesar de estarle añadiendo otros elementos. Es por eso que al añadirlos les di cierto movimiento para mantener el enfoque en la paloma central que pertenece a la imagen base y colocar las nuevas palomas de forma que no rompa tanto lo que transmitía la composición anterior. Pero dejare que sean ustedes los juzgadores del resultado y espero me puedan dar su opinión en los comentarios.
