Studio session with a flamenco dancer [EN-ES]

Hello to all photography lovers. Some time ago I started to learn how to work in a studio because the owner of a studio was interested in having me work for him. In the process of learning I took some friends to the studio for free sessions and one of them is Darlene, a flamenco dancer who belongs to a Cuban dance company. She was well prepared with the clothes they usually wear, hair accessories they usually wear and the good vibe of her dancing. At almost every moment of the session, flamenco music was played to put us in the mood and I was adapting to her dance moves. In the following two photos I show you the completion of a step that they usually do in this type of dance.

Hola a todos los amantes de la fotografía. Hace un tiempo comencé a conocer como trabajar en estudio debido a que el dueño de uno se interesó en que yo trabajará para él. En el proceso de aprender lleve a algunas amistades al estudio para hacerles sesiones gratis y una de ella es Darlene, una bailarina de flamenco que pertenece a una compañía cubana de baile. Ella fue bien preparada con la ropa que suelen usar, complementos para el pelo que suelen usarse y la buena vibra de su baile. En casi todo momento de la sesión se puso música flamenca para ponernos en situación y me fui adaptando a sus movimientos de baile. En las siguientes dos fotos les muestro la finalización de un paso que suelen hacer en este tipo de baile.

This dance has always been closely linked to the bullfighting tradition in Spain, hence in the following photo the gesture may remind you of this tradition, of which I am not in favor but that is another topic. Also with this photo I wanted to show you the atmosphere created in the studio, as flamenco has a lot of heels and is usually used in wood, we brought a wooden wheel that we had for the occasion, although you could not feel the force with which the heels hit but if you had to take into account. In almost all the photos we used two lights, a main light with great power to illuminate most of the model and an opposite to the previous one in positioning but with less power to raise a little the dark areas.

Este baile siempre ha estado muy ligado a la tradición taurina en España, de ahí que en la siguiente foto el gesto les pueda recordar a el gesto les pueda recordar esta tradición, de la cual no estoy a favor pero eso ya es otro tema. También con está foto queréa mostrarles el ambiente creado en el estudio, como el flamenco lleva mucho taconeo y se suele usar en madera pues trajimos una rueda de madera que teníamos para la ocación aunque no se pudiese sentir la fuerza con que pegan los tacones pero si se tuviese en cuenta. Se utilizaron en casi todas las fotos dos luces, una principal con gran potencia que iluminará la mayor parte de la modelo y una contraria a la anterior en posicionamiento pero con menor potencia que subiera un poco las zonas oscuras.

As usual in me, I could not finish the day without taking portraits and this was one of the ones I liked the most with this set of clothes. In the next few days I will tell you about the pictures we took that same day but using another set of clothes and an accessory that added a lot of life and movement to the images. Como ya es habitual en mí, no podía terminar el día sin hacer retratos y este fue uno de los que mas me gusto con este conjunto de ropa. En los próximos días les comento sobre las fotos que hicimos ese mismo día pero usando otro conjunto de ropa sumado a un accesorio que le agrego mucha vida y movimiento a las imágenes.
