Hello to all black and white lovers, today I'm back after a while without posting in this great community for not having been able to take many photos in recent months. Between two jobs and the management of the community @hivecuba I have little time left. A couple of days ago I did a photo shoot for a friend's aunt who was visiting Cuba. She wanted to celebrate her 50th birthday with some nice pictures in Havana and luckily they trusted me for it, but today I won't show you those pictures because I'm still editing them. What I will show you is part of the place we went to.

I often suggest this place for the diversity that is found in it because it has views of the sea, the city and also wide spaces of vegetation that help a lot to generate ideas. So we went to the Morro Castle, an ancient building that protected the entrance to the bay of Havana and where there is a famous lighthouse that guided and guides ships approaching the Cuban coast. I was already arriving at the place when I distinguished in the distance these two ships leaving the bay and I wanted to take some pictures of them because not many cargo ships coincide lately or at least I don't usually see them since I live far from the bay.

Hola a todos los amantes del blanco y negro, hoy vuelvo tras un tiempo sin publicar en esta gran comunidad por no haber podido realizar muchas fotos en los últimos meses. Entre dos trabajos y la gestión de la comunidad @hivecuba me el tiempo que me resta es poco. Hace par de días realice una sesión de fotos a la tía de una amiga que estaba de visita en Cuba. Ella quería celebrar sus 50 años con unas buenas fotos en La Habana y para mi suerte confiaron en mi para ello, pero hoy no les mostrare esas fotos pues aun las estoy editando. Lo que si les enseñare es parte del lugar al que fuimos.

Yo muchas veces sugiero este sitio por la diversidad que se encuentra en él pues tiene vistas al mar, a la ciudad y además espacios amplios de vegetación que ayudan mucho a generar ideas. Por ello nos fuimos hasta el Castillo del Morro, una edificación antigua que protegía la entrada de la bahía de la Habana y donde se encuentra un famoso Faro que guiaba y guía a los barcos que se acercan a las costas cubanas. Ya iba llegando al lugar cuando distinguí a lo lejos estos dos barcos saliendo de la bahía y quise tomarles unas fotos pues no suelen coincidir muchos barcos de carga últimamente o al menos no suelo verlos al vivir lejos de la bahía.

When you arrive you can notice how the place fills up in the afternoons with couples and families who come to enjoy a nice time and to see the beautiful sunsets that sometimes we don't take the time to admire. In the following photo you can see a couple sitting on a ledge, several meters high, enjoying each other's company.

Cuando llegas puedes notar como el lugar se llena en las tardes de parejas y familias que vienen a disfrutar de un tiempo agradable y para ver los bellos atardeceres que se a veces no nos tomamos el tiempo de admirar. En la siguiente foto podrán ver una pareja sentada en una cornisa, a varios metros de altura, disfrutando de la compañía del otro.

And now I show you a little bit of the building so that you can notice its antiquity given the way it was built. Notice the small towers, the cannons and the large stone windows that stand on its walls. In February this place is usually full of people who come to enjoy the Book Fair that is held every year to celebrate what reading gives us and as a space for the enjoyment of all. Although in recent years with the COVID it had not been possible and the last time I did not go because of the large number of people, often not even meeting health standards. I think I would go because there are not many cases of COVID in the country and even the use of masks is no longer mandatory, although for areas where many people gather I will continue to use them. I say goodbye with a sunset behind the mouth of the bay of Havana hoping you liked the photos. I hope to be back soon.

Y ya si les muestro un poco la edificación para que noten su antigüedad dada la forma en que fue construida. Noten las pequeñas torres, los cañones y los grandes ventanales de piedra que se alzan en sus paredes. En Febrero este lugar se suele llenar de personas que llegan a disfrutar de la Feria del Libro que se hace cada año para festejar lo que nos brinda la lectura y como un espacio para el disfrute de todos. Aunque en los últimos años con el COVID no se había podido hacer y la ultima vez no fui por la gran cantidad de personas, muchas veces ni cumpliendo las normas sanitarias. Creo que ya si iría pues no hay muchos casos de COVID en el país e incluso el uso de mascarillas ya no es obligatorio, aunque para zonas donde se reúnen muchas personas si las seguiré usando. Me despido con un atardecer tras la boca de la bahía habanera deseando que les hayan gustado las fotos. Espero volver pronto.
